Last Sunday Leslie Ray, long time Bruce Beacher and member of both the Churchgrove and the Kincardine Pipe band spoke eloquently of her trip to the Netherlands in May to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands. Leslie used the opportunity to clearly explain the close connection that has existed, undimmed with the passage of time, between Canadians and Dutch. She did it with humour, gravitas and emotion..
I am hoping that Leslie will allow us to circulate the text of her speech to the beach through Ross's distribution.
This Sunday ( Aug 16 was formerly blank on the mailbox circulation list) the speaker will be Dorothy Henderson...Dorothy a long time South Bruce Beacher has recently retired from her post in Exeter and will lead us in worship at 4 pm.
The final service of the summer is Aug 30th ( not Aug 23rd as listed in the BBYearbook). We will be led in worship by George Dunkley.
Looking forward to seeing all of you that can attend.
